Young and the Restless spoilers July 31 tease relief for the Newman family, an uneasy attempt to make amends, and a difficult conversation between Sharon and Noah.

After days of uncertainty, Nikki finally receives the news she’s been waiting for, while Matt tries to repair damaged relationships and Sharon shares an important update with her son.

Here’s what to expect on Friday’s Y&R.

Key Takeaways

  • Victor and Nikki look to put recent struggles behind them.
  • Matt attempts to make peace with Sienna.
  • Sharon updates Noah about Nick’s latest setback.
  • Family relationships remain under pressure across Genoa City.

Sight for Sore Eyes: Nikki Finally Gets Her Vision Back

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) can officially see again—can we get a soapy hallelujah? Finally! That is literally all she’s been praying for. Facing total darkness was a huge struggle, even if it was only for a few days.

The real panic set in after her surgery, when her eyesight didn’t immediately bounce back like she expected. Thankfully, the damage wasn’t permanent.

Now that the lights are back on, she and Victor (Eric Braeden) are agreeing to hit the reset button. They’ve been through a ridiculously rocky patch lately, but both seem ready to bury the hatchet and move forward together.

Mission Impossible: Matt Tries to Play Nice With Sienna

Speaking of trouble, Y&R spoilers for July 31 tease that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is actually attempting to make amends with Sienna (Tamara Braun). Good luck with that one, buddy. Given everything he’s put her—and Noah (Lucas Adams)—through, “easier said than done” is a massive understatement.

Noah, for one, would love nothing more than for Matt to pack his bags and stay as far away from his girlfriend as humanly possible.

Sharon Blows the Whistle on Nick’s Latest Spiral

Meanwhile, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) have been through the absolute wringer over the years. They’ve seen it all, heard it all, and survived it all. Sharon knows better than anyone how bad things get when Nick starts to spiral, and she knows firsthand how Matt Clark has turned their family’s lives into a living hell—especially for their son.

Meanwhile, Nick recently checked himself in!

Spoilers for Friday reveal that Sharon is stepping in to keep Noah in the loop. She spills the tea on Nick’s latest setback.

Do you think Victor and Nikki can actually keep the peace this time? And do you think Matt can actually play nice with Sienna?
