While Sally Spectra is busy prepping for Abbott Communications’ big launch party on The Young and the Restless, her real-life portrayer, Courtney Hope, just dropped some really big news.

The actress announced that she’s officially stepping back into the perfectly wild, paranatural shoes of Director Jesse Faden for Control Resonant, the highly anticipated sequel to Remedy Entertainment’s hit game Control.

Courtney Hope’s Announcement

Hope shared the announcement on Instagram, teasing fans with a line that fits the universe a little too well: “Weirder is right… Control Resonant 2026!!” She went on to hype the game: “Explore a warped Manhattan on the brink of paranatural annihilation in CONTROL Resonant…”

The game hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam & Epic), and Mac in 2026, and she encouraged everyone to wishlist it immediately.

For those who need a refresher, Hope previously voiced and portrayed Jesse Faden, the no-nonsense Director of the Federal Bureau of Control, who fought off the malevolent Hiss inside the mind-bending maze known as the Oldest House.

Her performance even earned her a “Best Performance” win at the New York Video Game Awards and nominations at both the BAFTAs and The Game Awards. So yeah, fans have every reason to be excited.

A New Lead

Although Jesse isn’t the main playable character this time around, she’s still very much part of the story. In the preview, her voice chimes in to warn her brother Dylan—this game’s lead—that “it’s gonna get weirder,” which in the Control universe basically translates to: buckle up.

Remedy officially unveiled Control Resonant during the 2025 Game Awards, revealing that the sequel jumps ahead seven years and breaks out of the Oldest House entirely. Instead, the game takes place in a paranaturally twisted Manhattan, reshaped by an Altered World Event (AWE). Bigger world, bigger stakes, and plenty of weirdness.

Fans lit up Courtney’s Instagram comments the second the announcement went live. One excited follower wrote, “AAA I’M BEYOND EXCITED FOR YOUR RETURN.” Another added, “Control 2 was one of the games I’ve been waiting for. I wish you and the Remedy team success!

Control Resonant is slated for release in 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam & Epic), and Mac via Steam and the App Store. No exact date yet—but if Jesse says it’s going to get weirder, we’re more than ready.
