Michael Muhney, best known for playing Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless from 2009–2014, shared on X (formerly Twitter) that he and former co-star Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) have officially reconciled.
Taking to the popular social media platform, Muhney shared, “Much like Jerry Jones & Jimmy Johnson…Eric Braeden and I fell apart, and much like Mr. Jones and Mr. Johnson, it took a very long time, but Eric and I have made up and shared our love and admiration for one another. Eric didn’t have to forgive me for our conflicts, but he did.”
In a follow-up post, he added, “If we hadn’t fallen apart way back when, who knows how far we could’ve gone together? I do so greatly admire him and I am impressed by his grace and class. He will always remain the single best scene partner I have ever had in my entire career. Hands down.”
Muhney also reflected on the personal impact of their reconciliation: “Feels good to heal from this. I’ve needed this more than I realized.”
During his time on Y&R, Michael Muhney played Braeden’s on-screen son. He also earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2013.
As many wonder about the conflict that existed between the two actors, Braeden previously told Radar Online: “I welcomed Michael Muhney when he came here. He is a great actor. We did have our differences, but for anyone to say that I had him fired is a lie. I have always thought he was a very good actor and told him so. Towards the end, Muhney and I did have our differences and had a shouting match, no question.”
Braeden further added, “During that shouting match, all kinds of things were said. I won’t go into detail about it.”
