It is always a blast when the kids of Genoa City turn out to be multi-talented in real life, and Paxton Mishkind is definitely keeping that tradition alive. The actor, who is basically a bit of a triple threat—actor, musician, and even a stand-up comedian- announced new music via Instagram. When he isn’t navigating the complicated family trees of the Abbotts and Newmans as Johnny Abbott on The Young and the Restless, he is making some serious moves in the music world with live performances here and there.
His latest project is a new track called “Dancing of the Bees,” and he is not doing it alone. Paxton recently took to Instagram to announce the release with his band, Sundry. The group is made up of four members: Leo Botranger, Alex Tijerina, Sonia Suazo, and Paxton. He shared:
“My band, @sundry__band, released a new single! Please listen, share, and follow us on your favorite streaming platform.”
While fans are used to seeing Johnny dealing with boarding school drama, Paxton is proving he has a much edgier and artistic side outside of the CBS studios.
Johnny Abbott: The Journey So Far
Paxton made his debut as the aged-up Johnny Abbott on The Young and the Restless in September 2022. Since then, he has handled some heavy material for a young actor. One of his biggest arcs involved Johnny finally learning the truth about his biological mother, Chelsea Lawson. Watching him navigate the resentment and the eventually budding bond with Chelsea showed that he can hold his own with the veterans of Genoa City.

What makes Paxton so likable is that he feels like a genuine, hardworking kid. Whether he is posting behind-the-scenes clips from the set or sharing his music, he comes across as incredibly grounded.
