Over the years, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has been through it on The Young and the Restless. From an alcoholic addiction to her MS, yeah, that says enough. But come next week, she is about to get a life-threatening diagnosis after a visit to the doctor, according to a preview from the latest TV Guide Magazine.
Nikki has been experiencing some troubling headaches lately on the CBS daytime drama. They were troubling enough that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) pushed for her mom to go to see a doctor.
Of course, Victoria’s concerns stem from all that has been happening in her family.
However, true to form, Nikki was reluctant. But that all changes next week.
Once Nikki brings her symptoms to the doctor’s attention, she learns some very bad news. She receives a serious, time-sensitive diagnosis that requires her immediate attention.
Time is not on her side, and so she is forced to make some major decisions.
Naturally, a crisis of this magnitude would usually send her straight into the arms of her husband, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). However, things between the powerhouse couple have been incredibly rocky lately. Because of their current emotional distance, Nikki finds herself highly hesitant to share the devastating news with the Mustache.
