Y&R Recap Today January 16, 2024: Nikki receives some sobering news, Heather keeps a secret from Daniel, and Phyllis pushes Christine’s buttons.
Y&R Recap Today, January 15, 2024
Summer sees Chance at Crimson Lights and can tell he is upset. She invites him out to dinner and they go to Society. She promises to help cheer him up and they talk about her divorce and both of their feelings about breakups. Chance assures her that while he was disappointed when Sharon ended things with him, he is ok and not heartbroken. He and Summer have fun talking and laughing through dinner until he has to get home. They both admit how much fun they had and Chance says they should do it again soon.
Y&R Recap Today
Daniel and Danny are talking and Danny keeps getting text messages on his phone. He reads them and smiles and Daniel assumes they are from Christine, saying that only she makes his father smile like that. Daniel has no idea that the messages are actually coming from Phyllis. Danny changes the subject and ignores the texts. Lily comes out and tells Daniel she wants a grilled cheese, but she wants Heather to make it, so she is on her way.
Danny and Daniel talk about Heather and Daniel tells his father that Lily likes having both of her parents close. He questions how Daniel feels about Heather and Daniel shuts it down, saying they are just co-parents, even if Lily wants it to be more. He comments to his father that he felt the opposite as a kid and didn’t want his parents around each other.
Heather arrives and Danny leaves to meet with Phyllis but makes a vague excuse so Daniel doesn’t know where he is going. She makes sandwiches and then Lily goes to bed. She is about to clean up before leaving but Daniel tells her that he will do it. he mentions Lily liking them all being together and Heather tells him that she does too and then tells him that she is falling back in love with him.
Nikki Apologizes
Lauren is reading over paperwork at Crimson Lights when Nikki comes in and apologizes for last night. Questions arise if she has been drinking and Nikki swears to her that she hasn’t. They talk about addiction and Lauren tells her that she knows what Nikki and her family are going through because she went through it with Fen. She pleads with Nikki to let her family help her and to call her if she needs to. Nikki promises she will and vows to fight to stay sober.
Seth comes in and Nikki thanks him for last night before apologizing for what happened when Victor came in. He understands, and Nikki tells him that she went to a morning meeting and was surprised she didn’t see him there. Seth yawns and tells her that he is feeling under the weather but he is going to a meeting now. After he leaves Nikki asks Lauren if she thought Seth was acting weird.
The Young and the Restless Recap: Phyllis Makes Her Move
When Danny ignores her text messages, Phyllis thinks he is with Christine and decides that she has to step things up to get his attention. She texts him and asks him to meet her at the Jazz Room to talk and he agrees. Phyllis gets ready to go, putting a jacket over just her lingerie before leaving to meet Danny. When he gets to the Jazz Room Phyllis talks him into playing the song she inspired and records him playing it on her phone.
Afterward, he comes back to the table and they chat. Danny questions her about Tucker and she tells him that there is no future for them and that he doesn’t inspire the passion in her that Danny does. She loosens her jacket so he can see her lingerie beneath it and talks to him about the passion she thinks they could share again. The moment is interrupted by Danny’s phone dinging and Phyllis asks him to ignore it.
Y&R Recap Today:
Danny checks his phone and is infuriated when he sees that Phyllis posted the recording she took with a caption that makes it seem there is something romantic going on with them. Phyllis tries to play innocent, but Danny isn’t buying it. At the GAC bar, Christine sees the video and is visibly upset by it. Phyllis tells Danny that Christine told her about the trip they are planning and says she was throwing it in her face because she feels threatened by her. Danny asks her if she told Christine about kissing him and Phyllis reminds him that he kissed her back but tells him that she didn’t say anything to Christine.
Phyllis is curious why he didn’t tell Christine himself and Danny says it would have only hurt her. Phyllis thinks he didn’t say anything because it meant something to him. They argue, and Phyllis tries to plead her case for them to be back together, but Danny tells her that she hasn’t changed before storming over to the bar for a drink. Phyllis follows him and kisses him. After a moment Danny wraps his arms around her and passionately kisses her back just as Christine walks in and sees them.
