It looks like one of the most popular sitcoms of the 80s/90s is about to be back on Television. According to reports ABC has given a script commitment to a show from Designing Women creators Linda Bloodworth Thomason and Harry Thomason for a reboot. The new series would be like the original with focus on a new group of female interior designers. The original series starred; Dixie Carter, Delta Burke, Annie Potts and Jean Smart. It ran from 1986 – 1983 and was centered around the lives of four women and one man working together at an interior designing firm in Atlanta, Georgia called Sugarbaker & Associates. Sony Pictures Television is set to produce the possible reboot version. In the meantime, we’ve come up with a list of 10 daytime stars that we would love to see on the reboot. Of course, the main cast is made up of only 4 ladies.
Julia Barr (Brooke English, All My Children/Serena Szabo, Ryan’s Hope)
Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord, One Life to Live et al)
Colleen Zenk (Barbara Ryan, As the World Turns)
Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller, General Hospital)
Alley Mills (Pam Douglas, The Bold and the Beautiful)
Kim Johnston Ulrich (Ivy Winthrop, Passions)
Kim Zimmer (Reva Shayne, Guiding Light/Echo DiSavoy, OLTL)
Andrea Evans (Rebecca Hotchkiss, Passions/Tina Lord, OLTL/Tawny Moore, B&B)
Donna Mills (Madeline Reeves, GH/Abby Ewing, Knots Landing)
