Who’d ever thought that the guy who was once a model on ‘The Price is Right’ could ever pull off a super-duper crazy character on a daytime soap? We certainly never saw it coming for Robert Scott Wilson, who is now dubbed as Batty Ben Weston on ‘Days of Our Lives’. From ‘Price is Right ‘to ‘All My Children’s Petey Cortlandt to Days of Our Lives’ Ben we’ve seen Wilson’s range of talent, enough to come to the conclusion that ‘Days’ should have him stick around on the show. Here are a number of reasons we think he should remain on the show:
Firstly, Wilson is a hunk! Shoots, we meant HUNK! And fans never get tired of seeing a hot guy on the soap. Here’s a plus, he’s the hottest necktie killer in the history of daytime.
Don’t you miss his shirtless days fans? Remember those early days on the soap or his past on the ‘AMC’ reboot when we got a full view of what shirtless Wilson looks like? We know we probably won’t get any of those this time around since his return is a short one, but keeping him around and revamping his character, giving him a storyline, a romantic pairing could cause us to see more of that.
Here’s another reason – Nobody does a crazier Cray Cray than him and we’re not the only ones who think so. Kassie DePaiva, his co-star who is returning on screen as Eve Donovan on October 30, 2017 shares our sentiment. In her own words, “Nobody plays a crazier Cray Cray than Robert Scott Wilson”. And, we couldn’t agree more – the apple (Ben) didn’t fall far from the tree (Clyde).
The Drama – when Ben is around there’s always drama and enough to keep you on the edge of your seats. Gone are the days when people are being buried alive and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) being possessed and levitating. So, don’t we need some drama and who better to bring it that Wilson himself! We’re positive the ratings have been up since his return.
Talent – We can’t reiterate the fact enough that Wilson’s talent is beyond words can describe. We saw how outstanding his work is when he played those crazy Batty Ben scenes with the former Abby, Kate Mansi. And, we were able to conclude that this guy is an Emmy worthy actor; his range of emotions and anger is well displayed throughout all his scenes keeping us on the edge of our seats and in suspense. He certainly makes it more interesting to watch!
And finally, all of the above –The eye candy guy, the crazy Mr. with a hot six pack, who has a good range of talent needs to be a permanent fixture in Salem, don’t you agree?
