5 Reasons General Hospital Should Keep Lindsay Korman-Hartley!

Do you remember the days when you would run home from school or sneak into the lunch at work just to catch a piece of Passions and particularly what Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald was up to? Well, we remember it like it was yesterday. 


Passions may have been ahead of its time with the supernatural storytelling but it certainly had a presence back in the day and is still held dear to our hearts today. Leading lady, back then known as Lindsay Korman ripped our hearts out as she played this young girl pining after a millionaire, and let’s not forget somebody else’s man. She certainly grabbed our attention so much so that we followed her career from Passions to Days of Our Lives to All My Children to Movies and now back to soaps on General Hospital.


Korman-Hartley recently filled in for Kelly Monaco who suffered a breathing issue from a mask while the cast returned to work. She was quarantined for 14 days as Hartley became her temporary replacement in the role of Sam McCall. We have no idea how the casting came about, but in whatever way it did, we are grateful to the powers that be. She was certainly the right choice and while short it may be, it was the best recast we have seen in a very long time. 


Sadly, Hartley’s time has come to an end as Monaco is already back on set filming again. But, we believe there is a place for Hartley on General Hospital. Hence, here are our 5 reasons they should keep her whether in a new role or as a recast role.




Fanbase


While Passions may not have been the average soap opera or was not huge in the ratings, the show had a following. Several talented persons were among the cast but Korman-Hartley was a fan favorite from the very beginning. If you brought up the subject of Passions, many would tell you that her alter ego, Theresa was their favorite. Korman-Hartley grabbed a following from Passions and then went to Days of Our Lives where she also grabbed another following and All My Children where she did the same thing. We think she has a fanbase that would be a huge plus to GH.


Talent


How many times did she make us cry from 1999 to now? Spending years trying to prove her innocence and trying to get the man she loved – Korman-Hartley reeled us in with her superb performances week after week on Passions. She brought that same fire to Days of Our Lives as Arianna Hernandez. And, it was no different when she came to All My Children as Cara Castillo, a character with a backstory. Now, from the very instant she debuted as Sam on GH, we were intrigued and ecstatic for more scenes. She proved she is a powerhouse! She proved she is legendary! She certainly had Twitter talking about her portrayal. Is it over already? We really hoped not!


Chemistry


Was Hartley on this show for the past 20 years or something? It’s very hard to believe that she was just there for a few days and had this amazing chemistry with the cast already? In each and every scene, you could see the chemistry with each character!


Career


She’s an established actress! Talented to say the least. But, she is credited with a vast number of shows which includes her daytime soap opera credits, some Lifetime and Hallmark movies and more. She’s even done primetime and written and directed some movies. It could be said that she has done everything and with someone so established she would be an asset to the full-time cast of GH.


Appearance


Appearance is not a subject we like to touch because sometimes it could get out of hand. But, we must acknowledge how beautiful Hartley looks. It’s like she hasn’t aged a day in the past years. 


So, what do you think fans – would you like to see her on GH as a Sarah Webber recast? Brenda Barret recast? Sam’s sister or someone else?
