The rumor mill has circled for some time now about a possible reboot for the defunct All My Children and One Life to Live. And our sources say that the possibility of the beloved soaps making a comeback is higher than ever!!
By the end of 2013, soap fans had said their final goodbyes to AMC and OLTL, but they have never given up hope for a possible reboot. We’ve fast-forwarded to six years into the future and the number of streaming services available that could pick up the shows is endless. And we’ve also got to take in the fact that we are down to only four soap operas still on our screens! Maybe now would be time to bring these two incredible shows back to broadcast television? That is what our sources are saying at least!
According to them, the idea of bringing the stories of the residents of Pine Valley and Llanview back to ABC is under heavy consideration at this time and that we should all be letting the ones in charge know just how much we want to see our soaps again.
Fans can call and leave a polite message of support to ABC’s SVP of Daytime, William Burton, at 818-460-7401. We can also tag ABC and their affiliate stations in supportive messages on social media.
The soap community is a large, loyal and vocal bunch! So, let’s use this opportunity to let our voices be heard!
