It’s no doubt that daytime fans are excited for the upcoming romance movie “Stan the Man” which will feature daytime stars such as; Katherine Kelly Lang and Crystal Chappell. And, to help fans we got a preview of Lang and Chappell’s part in the upcoming film. Soap Opera News spoke with Zachary Sasim who is listed as the screenplay writer for “Stan the Man”.
Sasim filled us in on how the movie came about noting, “Earlier this year Steven Chase (Director) from Entertainment Factory called me and told me that he needed a great romantic comedy of which he’ll be the star and director. Just before that happened, I wrote an original script for the hilarious comedy “Garlic and Gunpowder” ( Starring; Katherine Kelly Lang, M.Madsen, Vivica A. Fox, Lainie Kazan and many others with the Director being Harrison Smith). So, Steve gave me his initial idea for the story and I created a sophisticated plot. I wrote the script pretty quickly from the heart and soul. It was Steven Chase who re-wrote the script and created the final shooting script.”
Currently, the upcoming movie is being filmed in Temecula, California. Daytime fans can note that Lang who is best known for her role as Brooke Logan on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ will play the role of Elisabeth Morgan. Chappell on the other hand who has assumed daytime roles such as’ Carly on ‘Days of Our Lives’, Danielle on ‘B&B’ and Olivia on ‘Guiding Light’ will play Melody DuBois.

THE SCENE IN THE “ART OF THE MANNKIND GALLERY” (Between Melody DuBois , Elisabeth Morgan and Stan Mann)
INT. MANNKIND ART GALLERY -DAY
Stan enters his art gallery. The chauffeur waits in the car.The engine is running. In the art gallery, we see, ELISABETH MORGAN (40), is gesturing toward two pieces – she may want to purchase them. The tag on each painting reads 10.000$. The Art Gallery Managers, Melody Dubuois(40) are watching closely with anticipation.
ELISABETH
I will take these two.
Melody rushes to take the pictures down from the wall.
MELODY
Absolutely
STAN
La voilà! What have we here..Elisabeth, good morning!
Stan takes Elisabeth’s hand and kisses it gently then they hug.
ELISABETH
Hey Stanley…hello. handsome!
STAN
I see you have already met my gallery manager Melody .. Does her name sounds too musical to you?..
ELISABETH
Music and art are loves of my life..
STAN
So what have you decided to buy today my most beautiful lady?
ELISABETH
The two abstracts. I chose the beige pieces with the reddish accents for my office
STAN
Excellent choice. Those are two of my favorites. You’re not going to ask about a discount this time?
ELISABETH
Having our friendship is discount enough. Stan have you thought about me lately?
STAN
Hmm…..
Stan notices that Melody is listening their conversation.. Elisabeth writes the check.
MELODY
Miss Morgan, I’ll wrap them well for you. No chance to be damaged.
ELISABETH
Sure..Thanks, Melody
MELODY
And..Ah. That’s ok.
Melody decides not ask what she was going to ask..Stan pours a glass of whiskey from the bar and sips a little.
STAN
(quietly)
My dear, we’ve already talked about that over and over again.
(with normal voice)
Would you like something to drink? Coffee? Cappuccino? Or maybe some cognac?
ELISABETH
Stan, may I speak with you for a moment outside?
