Adrian Anchondo (Marco Rios) and Van Hansis (Lucas Jones) did the work. The two General Hospital actors have been chosen as Soap Opera News Performers of the Week for February 16 to 20. Let’s talk about what went down.
What Happened on General Hospital
This week on General Hospital, Lucas was in for a shock after overhearing Marco’s revealing conversations. As much as Lucas did not want to believe it, the truth was staring him right in the face, and it was impossible to ignore. Marco was keeping a major secret. He and his father were working together. And that hit Lucas hard. Really hard.
But Lucas, being Lucas, was not about to let it slide. Not one bit. He confronted Marco head-on, leading to an intense and emotionally charged scene where both Van Hansis and Adrian Anchondo were clearly at the top of their games.
Lucas called Marco out for manipulating him and working with his nefarious father to destroy Sonny. However, through tears, Marco insisted that his love was and is real. In a gut-wrenching moment, he promised to stop his vengeful actions. He explained that it all stems from his mother’s death. Which he clearly still blames Sonny for.
Lucas was understandably skeptical, and honestly, we get it. Still, it was clear that Lucas might be giving Marco a second chance.
Performances We Won’t Forget
Both actors delivered powerful, raw, and unforgettable performances. These are the kind of scenes that stay with fans long after the episode ends.
Van Hansis, you absolutely killed it. Adrian Anchondo, you did too. This is what we love to see. When actors make the story feel real through authentic performances, it elevates everything. And you both did it!
