Daytime Confidential reports that General Hospital has hired Alexa Havins, an All My Children alum, to step into the role of Lulu Spencer, last played by Emme Rylan.

Alexa Havins boasts a successful career as an American actress. Her standout performances include the role of Babe Carey Chandler (which she originated) on the soap opera All My Children and One Life to Live. Her role as the flawed but good Babe Carey earned her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2005 and recognition as being half of one of the show’s most popular soap opera pairings.

Additionally, since June 5, 2005, Havins has been married to her former All My Children co-star Justin Bruening, who portrayed Jamie Martin.

The role of Lulu Spencer was notably played by Julie Marie Berman from 2005 to 2013, followed by Emme Rylan, who assumed the role in 2013 and departed in 2020 when the character was placed in a coma.

  1. AMC is off the air for a reason, why keep bringing these actors to GH when you already have great underused actors

  2. She is an awful actress. She was terrible on AMC as Babe.

  3. They should have brought back Emme. They need to get back to basics. Show has been going down hill.
