Have you noticed the new flashback style on The Young and the Restless? The CBS daytime drama has recently started showing black-and-white versions of past scenes, with characters appearing in the corner of the screen. Recently, it seems the flashbacks have been used as filler in the script, rather than serving their purpose of providing character history or story refreshers.
