The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for Wednesday, July 19, 2023
Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope’s accountability comes with action. Sheila spends time with Mike. A long-term relationship comes to a sudden end.

Finn receives a call requesting that he see an old patient. Steffy is not surprised because he is the best, most caring, most sympathetic doctor she has ever met. Steffy needs to get to work. Finn promises to do everything in his power to keep their family safe.
RJ tries on a new fit from the men’s collection. He tells Ridge that he is worried about Hope’s marriage. Ridge thinks the marriage will survive. RJ, on the other hand, thinks it will take a miracle for Liam to forgive Hope. Steffy arrives and apologizes for being late because they are looking for a nanny. She is anticipating Sheila’s trial so they can put her away for good. There is no exact date for the trial but Steffy notes that Finn wants Sheila to pay for her crimes more than anyone.
Mike tells Sheila it’s good to see her. She asks what he wants. He heard her trial is coming up and hopes she is adjusting to prison life well because she is going to be there a long, long, long time. He reminds her that she is not alone, because he is there too. She did reach out to Jack but he shut her down so fast. Mike encourages her to stay positive. What makes her crazy is that she can never be close to her son and grandson again. Mike leaves. Finn visits Sheila. She is happy to see him but he says he is only there as her doctor. She promises to never stop loving him.
Hope accepts responsibility for her actions. When she looks into Thomas’ eyes, she sees total dedication, but she can’t say the same about Liam. She wants to know if Liam requested a divorce so quickly because of Steffy. Hope wonders if he feels he made a mistake by giving up his life with Steffy. She apologizes for causing so much pain and heartache; it was never her intention, but perhaps this was always going to be impossible. Perhaps it is too much to bear. Hope takes out the divorce papers that she had her attorney draw up and places them on the table, leaving Liam stunned. Hope didn’t want this. She didn’t want to raise their daughter in a broken family but he will be free to live his life and so will she. She signs the papers and gives them to him. Liam signs the papers and takes off his ring. They hold hands for a minute and then he walks out.
