Kate Roberts. Salem has some great legacy families, Brady’s, Horton’s, DiMera’s. Kate doesn’t come from a legacy family. She has created her own legacy. Kate is her own woman that lives life on her own terms. She is a woman who is a formidable opponent to her many foes and she is a force to be reckoned with. Look if you can go toe to toe with Stefano DiMera and Victor Kiriakis and live to tell the tale; you have earned legacy status. Her children and her husbands come and go but Kate is always there being Kate being legendary.
Last week was vintage Kate. Kristen had barely been unmasked and the wheels in Kate’s head were already turning. With Kristen exposed and no longer a threat to her, she wasted no time summoning Victor to give him an ultimatum. Demote grandson Brady, you know he’s nowhere as good as me, and promote me to CEO. If you don’t I’m going to accept Shin’s offer and helm DiMera and wipe you and Brady off the map.
Victor was a no-go. So Kate helms DiMera again. Then she wasted no time putting on her CEO dress and went to the jail rubbing Kristen’s nose in the fact that it was she who had won the Game of Thrones (for now) and sat on DiMera’s throne. The next stop on her, “I am the Boss now” tour was her old/new home, the DiMera mansion.
She told Stabi the news and threw in she was moving back into the mansion. She apologized to Stefan for lying about him kidnapping her and Ted, which led to Stefan being a suspect in Ted’s murder. She told Stefan look I’m no Mother Theresa but I’m better than your pyscho sister so let’s just forgive and forget for the sake of the company. I’ll be the bigger person and apologize first. Only Kate.
We wouldn’t be keeping it real if we didn’t mention Kate’s misstep in her, “I am the Boss tour’, when she didn’t keep the piece, Vivian’s gun, that Kate used to kill Vivian, in her purse. Or maybe it should have been in a safe deposit box or in a nearby body of water. Anywhere else but among her “things” were Stefan just happened to come across it. Stefan had been waiting for that moment and he was more than ready to blow Kate away and taunted her with how much as he held Kate at gunpoint. Gabi walked in and begged him to please not throw his life, their life away on Kate. Stefan begrudgingly relented and Kate scurried out of there with her bottle of some kind of brown liquor in hand. Even BOSSes know when to cut their losses and run! Lol.
We went gaga over Kate’s black and blue sheer striped Trumpet-Sleeve Shirtdress by Badgley Mischka Collection. The black belted waist, the matching blue bag, white nail polish, the pearl necklace and we let out an “Oh Yes!” when we saw the red heels as Kate ran out of the DiMera living room with her liquor. We loved those sleeves so much we are giving them their own sentence. Loved them.
Kate is back in charge. Oh, boy Salem watch out!
