Pop the champagne and get ready for 2027 and 2028 in Fairmont Crest because Beyond the Gates has officially been renewed for seasons 3 and 4 at CBS. The network announced the big news during a programming event on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

A Big Moment for Daytime TV

Created by Michele Val Jean, Beyond the Gates premiered on CBS in February 2025 and quickly made history. It’s the first new daytime soap to debut on a major network since Passions back in 1999. It also stands out as the first daytime soap in decades to feature a predominantly African American cast, following Generations, which aired on NBC from 1989 to 1991.

A Strong First Year and Impactful Stories

The show has already had a major first year, with storylines that really hit. One of the biggest and most recent involves the Dupree matriarch, Anita Dupree, played by Tamara Tunie, being diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer.

The cast has also been a big part of the show’s success, including Clifton Davis as Vernon, Karla Mosley as Dani, Daphnée Duplaix as Nicole, Brandon Claybon as Martin, Trisha Mann-Grant as Leslie, Ambyr Michelle as Eva, Colby Muhammad as Kat, RhonniRose Mantilla as Chelsea, Jon Lindstrom as Joey, Arielle Prepetit as Naomi, along with Jibre Hordges, Mike Manning, Timon Kyle Durrett, Marquita Goings, and much more.

This is huge news, and definitely something to celebrate with Beyond the Gates. And in case you missed it, the show was named the top soap in Soap Opera News’ end-of-year review for 2025. Congrats all around.
