Beyond the Gates spoilers for August 4 tease that one Hawthorne brother has another switching things up, Leslie and Noah take on employer-employee relations, and Hayley races against time in her plot to murder Bill. Elsewhere in the DMV, Kial has something unexpected for Nicole and Tomás may or may not be giving Kat an assist from Puerto Rico! Here’s a Soap Opera News breakdown of what to expect in Tuesday’s episode.

Key Takeaways

  • Hayley’s forced to pivot when Bill gives her a health update.
  • Meanwhile, Naomi snoops, Chelsea gathers intel from Caroline, and Kat tries to enlist Tomás for help.
  • Kial surprises Nicole.
  • Leslie gets to know Noah.
  • Jacob’s advice leads Izaiah towards a new approach.

How to Give a Clinic on Surprises

Look out, Nicole – Kial, whom you’ve been hanging out with a lot lately, has somethin’ for ya, girl. What – he keeps his clothes on? With any luck, this surprise will have Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) smiling and not turning to Carlton, who’s sure been left out in the cold by the shrink lately. Will whatever Kial (Greg Vaughan) has in mind tip the scales for good concerning Nicole balancing him and Carlton?

Noah (Nick Hagelin) was shocked when Leslie hired him to replace the dearly departed Derek as Phoenix Street Free Clinic’s manager – and so were we. I mean, the dude has zero experience. When the ever crafty Leslie (Tricia Mann-Grant) meets up with Noah, will she leak any info as to why she actually brought the guy on? It seems Noah’s only qualification is that he’s the son of one of her rival’s paramours. Might Noah accidentally give Leslie more ammunition now that she’s even more determined to claim Ted for herself? Or will Noah reveal something during their chat that gets her to see the young musician as a person and not just a tool?

Jacob (Jibre Hodges) is once again ready to offer some guidance to his little bro. Things between Izzy Iz and Eva seem to be going well, so it might not be romance that Jacob wants to impart wisdom about. Could it be, now that Elon has finally offered an olive branch to the son he’s always been in conflict with, Jacob might distribute some know-how that would help Izaiah (Lami) capitalize on that good will? Or does the Hawthornes’ eldest have something else on his mind that would give the academic advisor a boost?

That Girl Is Poison

Despite apparently using the slowest-acting poison in the world, Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) finally seems to be suffering the effects of Hayley’s tainted smoothies, coffees, and even meals. Now Hayley’s finally got Bill to agree to some vacay in St. Bart’s so she can finish him off. So why does Bill have a health update for his wanton wife after she badgered him into not seeking further medical attention from Madison? And how might this get in the way of Hayley’s nefarious plans?

In the meantime, Beyond the Gates spoilers for August 4 also say that Bill’s daughters have enough suspicious info gathered about their sus stepmother that they’re now actively following up on it: Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) will be doing some digging, and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) will be going to Hayley’s only friend, Caroline, to see what she can get the woman to give up. Not to be outdone, Kat (Colby Nixon) – who never met a mystery she didn’t like, and let’s face it…she has consistently procured evidence better than Jacob and his whole department has – also has her magnifying glass out. In fact, her plan is to pick her not-fiancé’s brain to see if there’s anything in there that can help! Given Tomás’ dubious experiences with Lynette, could he be the one to finish connecting the dots for Kat and provide her enough to take Hayley (Marquita Goings) down?
