Life has a habit of throwing those unexpected punches we never saw coming. Ted’s (Keith D. Robinson) taken more than a few hits, and Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) isn’t exactly a stranger to life’s uppercuts either.
But now the two of them find themselves smack in the middle of a new, potentially dangerous predicament, one they couldn’t have predicted even on their worst day. The hospital elevator has decided it’s done doing its job and simply refuses to let them out.
What could possibly go wrong when you’re trapped like this? Well… a lot. But surprisingly, a lot could also go right.
After working in the same building for ages without ever really peeling back the layers, Ted and Shanice finally get the chance to actually know each other, like, genuinely know each other. Whether this is where things fizzle out or the moment where something new quietly sparks… well, that’s the real question.
Vernon Confronts Joey
Meanwhile, Senator Dupree (Clifton Davis) has a thing or two—okay, maybe a whole handful—to say to Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom).
And trust us, Vernon and Joey don’t exactly exchange polite greeting-card sentiments during their heated verbal showdown. Then again, this is Joey we’re talking about. He rarely minces words; sometimes he skips words altogether and jumps straight to action.
Eva and Izaiah
Beyond the Gates spoilers for December 3 also tease that Izaiah (David Lami Friebe) is gearing up to make a bold move where Eva (Ambyr Michelle) is concerned.
These two are getting closer by the minute… or the hour… or whatever measurement you want to use. Bottom line: Fairmont Crest has been overdue for some fresh romance, and it looks like we just found it. Eva and Izaiah, folks—bookmark it.
Samantha and Her Future
Elsewhere, June’s (Jasmine Burke) past gives Samantha (Najah Jackson) an unexpected idea for her own future. Let’s hope she treads carefully.
Samantha’s made a couple of questionable choices lately, the kind that come with consequences she definitely felt. Fingers crossed she avoids adding “more bad decisions” to her resume.
