What Happens on Beyond the Gates on July 9?
It was one awkward moment after another for Andre (Sean Freeman) and Ashley (Jen Jacob) on their date night at Uptown. First, they bumped into Ashley’s ex, Derek (Ben Gavin), who just so happened to be on a date with Shanice (Ernestine Johnson). That was tense enough. But things really took a turn when Dani (Karla Mosley) walked in and spotted Andre holding hands with Ashley.
She saw red. Like, immediate meltdown red. She didn’t just get upset—she had a full-on fit right then and there. And judging by the look on her face, Andre’s definitely about to catch the heat.
According to spoilers, Dani will get territorial over Andre. And who can blame her? After what Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) put her through, she’s been carrying a lot of emotional baggage, and the thought of getting hurt again is clearly too much for her. What does Andre have to say for himself?

Meanwhile, Beyond the Gates spoilers for July 9 reveal that Smitty (Mike Manning) and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) are about to compare notes—and what they discover unlocks a disturbing memory from Jacob’s past.
Smitty, of course, is convinced he’s on to something big. And even though he’s been warned more than once to let it go, he’s not backing down. Not after everything he’s uncovered so far. So what’s next? What could he possibly dig up now?

Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) finally lays it all out for Joey (Jon Lindstrom) and serves him a clear ultimatum. Honestly, it’s about time. She’s clearly into him, no question there. But Joey? He’s not just your average bad boy. He’s dangerous. The kind of man you have to be smart about. The kind you don’t just “play” unless you’re ready for consequences.
