Country Club Clash: Shanice’s Brothers Confront Ted
The latest preview for the week of September 7 kicks off with a frosty encounter at the country club. Ted attempts to sit down with Shanice’s brothers, Cedric and Lamont, but the newly arrived Johnson brothers aren’t interested in making nice.
“Did anybody tell your ass to sit down?” Cedric asks. A shocked Ted tries to figure out what’s going on, but Lamont quickly backs up his sibling: “You heard what my brother said. You’re not welcome here.” The icy meeting makes it crystal clear that winning over Shanice’s family will be an uphill battle for Ted.
Unwelcome Visitors & Tense Encounters at Orphey Gene’s
Over at Dupree Manor, Leslie and Eva show up unannounced. Anita isn’t pleased to see them. “What now, Leslie?” she asks. Leslie warns her not to get twisted because their stopover won’t be long.
Meanwhile, things heat up at Orphey Gene’s. Heather meets Tyrell and Samantha and tells Nicole, “I am absolutely smitten with your lovely grandchildren.” Nicole doesn’t buy the charm act for a second. She goes straight to Joey with a strict demand: “Keep your damn sister away from my grandkids.”
Flirty Texts & A Murder Probe Question
Distance isn’t stopping exes Dani and Bill from exchanging banter. Dani texts Bill to ask if she’s being tempted—specifically if that temptation is to knock some sense into him. Bill texts right back. He tells her to come home and say that to his face to see what happens. Dani is laughing out loud when Andre walks in and wants to know what’s so funny.
In the final moments of the preview, Smitty corners Jacob for answers. Smitty points out, “The questions you’re asking me, those are the questions you’d ask a suspect.” He then drops the ultimate question: “Is Lia’s death now a murder investigation?“
