Siblings At Odds
It’s another chaotic day in Martin (Brandon Claybon) and Smitty’s (Mike Manning) household. Their kids, Samantha (Najah Jackson) and Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller), are headed for a serious clash, and it’s going to leave Martin and Smitty dealing with the fallout.
But what’s really driving these two apart? They’ve had their ups and downs, sure, but things have mostly been smoother than rough between them.
This time, though, it feels different. Could this be the kind of fight where things get said that can’t be taken back? Are feelings about to be hurt in a way that leaves lasting damage?
Only time will tell.
Nicole Considers and Ted Remembers
While Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix) has plenty on her mind after the recent family fallout, her heart is still heavy with something else—her marriage. She’s quietly mourning what she lost with Ted (Keith D. Robinson), which hasn’t gone unnoticed by Anita (Tamara Tunie), who starts to wonder: could a second chance be on Nicole’s mind?
Whether Nicole’s ready for that is still unclear. For now, she’s reflecting on how she treated Ted—and that makes sense. They share a lot of history.
As for Ted, he’s feeling the weight of that history too. He’s deep in his memories, thinking about the love they once had, while also facing a tough reality he didn’t see coming.

Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Leslie One-Ups the Duprees
Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) isn’t backing down. Not now, not ever. She’s once again managed to one-up the Duprees—and at this point, it’s clear she’s on a mission.
She’s hellbent on making their lives miserable, and whether anyone agrees with her or not, Leslie feels completely justified. Still, you’d think by now she might’ve let it go.
Nope. Not happening.
So what does she do this time? Stay tuned—because it’s definitely not subtle.
Naomi and Jacob Help a Friend
Also in Beyond the Gates spoilers for September 16: Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) step up to help a friend in need.
That friend? Likely June (Jasmin Burke), who’s just started a new job and is already swimming in self-doubt. Or let’s see, this could also be about Ashley (Jen Jacob)? or Derek (Ben Gavin)?
But with Naomi and Jacob in anyone’s corner, things might just start looking up. Support, encouragement, maybe even a little tough love—they’ve got your back.

The visuals for his new single Forever Bae will be released on September 15. It will also feature Daphnee Duplaix (aka Nicole) as his leading lady. The song will also be featured in the Sept 16th episode of Beyond the Gates.
