For over twenty years, Eva Basler was the driving force behind everything the public saw regarding The Bold and the Beautiful. In her high-level role as VP of Communications and Talent Relations, she expertly managed the show’s publicity, marketing campaigns, social media strategies, and handled day-to-day relations for the star-studded cast.
Sadly, sources confirm that her exit was part of a recent string of quiet corporate layoffs inside the production company.
Over the years, she became a well-known and respected figure among cast members, media outlets, and industry professionals. Those who worked with her often praised her dedication to both the show and the people involved with it.
An Illustrious Career Beyond Daytime Television
Long before joining The Bold and the Beautiful, Basler had already established herself in the entertainment industry.
Her television career began with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, where she worked as a publicist for the annual Oscar telecast for more than a decade. During that time, she worked on behalf of both the Academy and the telecast production team.
She later became involved with the inaugural Screen Actors Guild Awards, helping create and write the ceremony’s official rules. Her work with the SAG Awards continued as an Awards Show Consultant, where she oversaw competition procedures and managed the selection of third-party public relations firms.
She has been an active member of the Television Academy since 2000 and currently serves as Governor of Daytime Programming. Throughout her time with the Academy, she has contributed to numerous committees, including the Executive, Primetime Awards, Daytime Awards, Budget, Governors Ball, and Creative Arts Committees.
She also serves as co-chair of the Membership Committee.
In addition, Basler has played an important role with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS), serving on its National Awards Committee. The committee oversees several Emmy competitions, including sports, news, documentaries, children’s and family programming, and daytime television.
