Jacqueline MacInnes Wood for the Win!

After seeing Sheila Carter on the beach in Monaco—during what Steffy hoped would be a romantic getaway with her husband—she simply couldn’t do it anymore. She vented, took off her wedding ring, threw it at Finn, and boarded a plane back to LA.

Right there on the flight, she had drink after drink, clearly trying to drown the never-ending sight of Sheila’s eight toes on the beach that kept replaying over and over in her mind. After arriving in LA, Steffy went straight to the office. By that time, she had way too much to drink, but rather than going home to face ninety-nine questions from her mom or risk the kids seeing her in that state, she decided to crash at the workplace.

Misery Loves Company at Forrester Creations

Turns out, she wasn’t the only broken soul lingering around the office late at night. A heavily intoxicated Carter wandered in, and in true soap fashion, misery loved company. As they leaned on each other, Steffy finally let the floodgates open. She unloaded all her built-up rage—from her dad almost firing her to getting stabbed in the back by Katie and Hope, and now watching her husband get completely played by his psychotic birth mother.

She went on and on about how Sheila just will not stay out of their lives, and how she continues to feel like the strongest person in her relationship.

There is only so much more I can take,” she confessed. “I’m done. I can’t do this anymore. I need my husband to protect me, and he’s not.” Steffy even mentioned that if Sheila doesn’t kill her, the constant stress will. “And I can’t do this because I have children,” Steffy sobbed. “I want to scream. I just want to get this rage right out of me.

As she poured her heart out, Carter raced over and held her tight in his arms.

The Brutal Morning After

The next day, the two woke up naked on the couch, and Steffy could not come to terms with what she had done. Emotional, disappointed, and utterly gutted, Steffy quickly got dressed and stormed home, where she would soon have to face her husband, who wanted nothing more than to make things right.

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and her brilliant co-star Lawrence Saint-Victor (who snagged Performer of the Week just last week!) were an absolute powerhouse duo all week long. Every cracked note in her voice, every tear, and every ounce of pain hit us right in the chest. Huge congratulations to Jacqueline on a well-deserved win!
