Another piece of Beyond the Gates’ musical past comes to life this week as Bonita Brisker joins the cast in a recurring role. Brisker will portray Sharon, the final member of The Articulettes, Anita’s former music group. Viewers previously met Tracy—played by Maria Howell—and now it’s Sharon’s turn to enter the story. Brisker makes her debut on May 30.

Who is Bonita Brisker?
Bonita Brisker brings a wealth of talent to the role. A lifetime member of The Actors Studio, Brisker has studied under and worked with industry legends such as Martin Landau, Ellen Burstyn, Mark Rydell, and Al Pacino. She is known for her role as a series regular on the hit TV show Judge Me Not, and made her off-Broadway debut at the Houseman Theater alongside Charles S. Dutton in Unrefined.
Her critically acclaimed one-woman show, Bonita & Billie Holiday, toured internationally to sold-out crowds and was described as “uncanny” by the Los Angeles Times.
In addition to her artistic career, Brisker is co-founder of Agri Smart, Inc., an international farming management company operating in West Africa.
