Viewers who tuned into The Bold and the Beautiful on June 12 were in for a bit of a surprise—courtesy of the classic soap opera phenomenon known as SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome). Little Hayes Finnegan has grown up overnight…well, at least on-screen. The role, previously portrayed by twins Alexander and Chase Banks, has now been taken over by Bryan David Garlick (per Soaps.com), who appears to be bringing a slightly older version of Hayes to life.
Who is the new Hayes on The Bold and the Beautiful?
In the episode, fans were treated to a heartfelt father-son moment as Finn (Tanner Novlan) bonded with his son. Meanwhile, his daughter Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada), hiding in the kitchen, watched the tender exchange with tears quietly streaming down her face—wishing she could share a similar bond with her father. But that ain’t happening.
Of course, longtime soap fans know that this isn’t the first time SORAS has worked its magic. Aging children seemingly overnight has been a time-honored tradition in the soap world—one day they’re in diapers, the next they’re driving, dating, or launching tech startups. Just another day in daytime drama!
