Only a few days after The Talk’s cancellation, comes news that CBS had ordered “The Gates” to series, and the new daytime drama is set to debut in January 2025.
Fans, of course, are very eager for a new daytime drama, particularly because it has been years since we’ve had a new daytime soap opera. The upcoming series helmed by Michele Val Jean has yet to reveal its exact debut date.
When Will The Gates Debut on CBS?
Michele Val Jean has written a huge number of episodes for shows such as General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful. She is also a winner of multiple awards, including the Daytime Emmy and WGA Awards, for her work. She is set to serve as a writer and showrunner for “The Gates.”.
“The Gates” will follow the lives of a wealthy black family in a posh, gated community. No cast members have been revealed yet for the show, so please stay tuned for updates. The show makes its debut in January 2025.
Alongside Val Jean as executive producer are Sheila Ducksworth, Leon Russell, Derrick Johnson, and Kimberly Doebereiner.
