Cherie Jimenez recently came on to social media to put some rumors to rest: she’s not leaving Days of Our Lives as Gabi!
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Jimenez addressed the subject, “I guess there’s a rumor going around that I’m leaving Dool & so I just wanted to squash that right now by letting y’all know I’m not going anywhere. I love playing Gabi & everyone at #Days.”
Cherie Jimenez has been doing a fantastic job in the role of Gabi since her daytime soap opera debut back in June 2024. Her enthusiasm for this character is evident in her acting!
This is great news for fans, especially in light of the unexpected casting news regarding the exit of fan favorite Billy Flynn from his role as Chad DiMera, a role he’s played for about a decade. Flynn is set to join the cast of The Young and the Restless in a new role and will make his debut on CBS daytime drama in the spring. However, he will also continue to be seen as Chad through 2026, thanks to Days of Our Lives’ far-advanced tape-to-air schedule! Are you as happy as we are to hear Cherie is sticking around as Gabi?
