That’s a wrap for Conner Floyd as Chance Chancellor on The Young and the Restless. The actor made his final appearance in the July 28 episode, when Chance was shot and killed.
Floyd is headed to Days of Our Lives where he’ll step into the role of Chad DiMera. Thanks to Days’ way-ahead filming schedule fans won’t see him pop up in Salem until 2026. Patience, soap fam.
After his final Y&R episode aired Floyd posted a farewell video on Instagram with a heartfelt caption saying goodbye to his Genoa City alter ego. He wrote:
It’s been real GC. What a ride. I have truly been blessed to call myself a citizen of Genoa City. To share the stage with so many talented and hard working actors, creatives and crew members. This is without a doubt a special place. I’m grateful to have been a part of such an iconic piece of art that has lasted through the decades and that has such a stellar, die hard fan base. Thank you for accepting me. Chance will always have a close place in my heart. He’s taught me a lot and I’ll miss him dearly. It’s been an absolute honor to represent the Chancellor legacy.
Detective Chancellor, over and out.
Conner Floyd joined The Young and the Restless back in 2021. He appeared in at least 275 episodes. We wish him nothing but the best and cannot wait to see him on Days of Our Lives. (Photo: CBS.)
