Ever since Kim Matula vacated the role of Hope Logan on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, there were suggestions as to who could replace her. Right now, it seems the CBS daytime drama has no plans to recast however there’s still hope that Hope could return to Los Angeles permanently.
With Liam [Scott Clifton] and Steffy [Jacqueline MacInnes Wood] about to get married another time, fans speculate this could be where Hope finally returns to cause trouble for the happy couple. B&B is known for love triangles and back in the day it was Hope, Liam and Steffy. This, would not be the first time, the CBS soap has pulled a stunt like that. Don’t get me wrong – this is in no way a spoiler or anything that is coming up on the soap. But, it still beats my mind, why is none of Brooke’s daughters in LA? We’re thinking it’s time to bring back one of daughters; either Hope or Bridget [Ashley Jones].
When the role was vacated back in 2014, a number of suggestions were made for a recast including: Julie Marie Berman who played Lulu Falconeri on ‘General Hospital’, Stephanie Gatschet who played Tammy Winslow on ‘Guiding Light’ and Madison North on ‘All My Children’, Crystal Hunt who payed Lizzie Spaulding on ‘Guiding Light’ and Stacy Morasco on ‘One Life to Live’ and Brooke Newton who got her first daytime gig playing the role of Colby Chandler on the reboot version of ‘All My Children’ in 2013.
Though the reboot only lasted a short while, Newton quickly became a fan favorite. She was doing a superb job as a trouble-maker, quite the reason Soap Opera Intel became fond of her. What if B&B were to finally recast the role, after all Matula’s busy working on a new movie and she’s also been busy on primetime. Could AMC alum Brooke Newton ever be the new Hope Logan? What’s your thoughts on that fans? Watch the video below to see what Newton was like as AMC’s Colby Chandler and let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
