Former ‘Days of Our Lives’ Kate Mansi (ex-Abby) has been putting in hard work ever since departing the role she spent 5 five years playing, the role she also earned her first Daytime Emmy Award for. She has played lead in a number of movies and has a few more to come. Her project, “Muse” the movie is yet to get a release date but it is already making it’s mark around the globe. Mansi who stars as Maria has received a nomination for best Actress for the 2017 Edmonton Festival of Fear International Film Festival happening on October 14th at Landmark Cinemas, City Centre, Edmonton.
For those who may not be aware, “Muse” is an upcoming horror, fantasy, drama film and a psychological thriller based on a Gaelic legend. It is written and directed by John Burr whom we spoke with and he is very excited about what’s going on for the upcoming horror film. The narrative follows Adam (Riley Egan), a struggling young painter that lives in a dilapidated loft, who finds himself captivated by a mysterious young woman played by Evans. As they fall into a torrid love affair, his artwork flourishes — while the body count around him builds.
Currently the film is on the festival circuit most recently premiering at FilmQuest, a genre festival in Provo and will also be making their Louisiana Premiere at the NOLA Horror Film Fest in New Orleans next week (see full schedule below).
Go ahead and check out the schedule below as well as the behind the scenes photos of Mansi in her role as Maria. Congrats Kate!
