Days of Our Lives stars; Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie) and Bill Hayes (Doug) have marked a HUGE real-life romantic milestone. Their characters, Doug and Julie are considered to be the first supercouple in daytime television history. The actors are married in real life and also still recur in their roles that made them famous on NBC’s Days of our Lives. The happy couple got married on October 12, 1974.

Hayes explained in a 2009 Mental Floss feature: “In 1974, Susan
and I got married in my living room with 16 people. In 1976, when Doug
and Julie got married, we had 16 million people.“Yesterday they marked 44 years of being married. Congrats to the Hayes.
