Get ready, soap fans, Days of Our Lives legend Deidre Hall, best known for her nearly five decades as the iconic Dr. Marlena Evans, is going where few daytime stars have gone before: into the Star Trek universe!
And guess what? She’s playing a character that mirrors her very own Days alter ego.
Who Will Deidre Hall Play in the Star Trek Universe?
In an interview with TV Watercooler, Hall revealed that she recently landed a guest role in a Star Trek television series — most likely Paramount+’s hit prequel, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which is expected to premiere its fourth season in 2026.
“I was just there! I was up there doing Star Trek,” Hall shared, adding, “I love Toronto.” When asked for details about her character, she said, “Ask me what I play on Star Trek… It’s not who, it’s what!”
According to the report, Hall will play a psychiatrist — just like she does on Days of Our Lives.
About Deidre Hall
Of course, this isn’t her first trip beyond Salem. While many know her as Marlena, Hall’s career spans decades of television, including her role as Barbara Anderson on The Young and the Restless (1973–1975), and more recently, a guest appearance as herself on the hit HBO Max comedy Hacks. She’s also appeared in Drop Dead Diva, Women of the House, Murder, She Wrote, Hot Pursuit, S.W.A.T., and more.
Currently on Days of Our Lives, Marlena continues her role as Salem’s go-to psychiatrist. She’s now holding therapy sessions with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) for anger management!
But it’s not all smooth sailing for Doc; she’s facing some questionable health issues that have even psychic Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) warning that something is seriously wrong. What exactly is going on with Marlena? Only time will tell.
So, be sure to mark your calendars for 2026 and get ready to see the legendary Deidre Hall explore a whole new universe — the Star Trek universe!
