The show is celebrating its 15,000th episode on December 2, and to add a touch of heartfelt drama, they’ll be paying tribute to the late Bill Hayes, who played the legendary Doug Williams. Starting next week, get ready to watch Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) tend to her ailing husband, as the series edges closer to an emotionally charged send-off.
As always, the annual Days of our Lives fall promo teased some fabulous returns—Chins up for the return of Chandler Massey (Will), Christie Clark (Carrie), Emily O’Brien (Gwen/Theresa), Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Victoria Konefal (Ciara), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton) and more!
We’re also in for some new romances: JJ (Casey Moss) and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) kiss, and we can’t even count the number of kisses featuring Belle (Martha Madison), EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), Javi (Al Calderon), Leo (Greg Rikaart), Ava (Tamara Braun), Brady (Eric Martsolf), Philip (John-Paul Lavisoier), and Stephanie (Abigail Klein)! And remember Chanel (Raven Bowens)? Well, she tells Johnny (Carson Boatman) that she still wants to have a baby!

Meanwhile, Rafe (Galen Gering) has big news with Jada (Elia Cantu)—an engagement! Doug’s tragic passing is sure to bring on the tears. To add to this drama, Ciara opens up the time capsule, Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer square off with Cat (AnnaLynne McCord), and Johnny discovers that his dad raped his mother— Hurricane Sami (Alison Sweeney), is back.
Spoiler alert: EJ gets shot, John is missing, and Marlena (Deidre Hall) jumps into detective mode to get answers with the help of Steve (Stephen Nichols). Plus, Julie bumps into a stranger—could that be Peyton Meyer making his Days debut? And Bonnie (Judi Evans) takes a nasty fall—one that Justin (Wally Kurth) doesn’t think is an accident.
