Peter Porte is making a much-anticipated return to Days of Our Lives as Dimitri von Leuschner! In the new extended winter promo, it was revealed that Dimitri is back this season and ready to pick up right where he left off with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).
Dimitri is coming back just as Leo has found himself in a committed relationship with Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon). On top of that, the DiMera family has found itself in a predicament.
Fans may remember Porte got his start in soaps as Ricky Williams on The Young and the Restless in 2011, appearing in 51 episodes before exiting in 2012.
Nearly a decade later, he debuted as Kyle Graham/Dimitri von Leuschner in Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, before bringing Dimitri to the main show in 2023.
He last appeared on the show in December of the same year, when Dimitri was taken to a supermax prison. Though unseen since, the character has been mentioned several times, especially as Gwen (Emily O’Brien) returned to town… and richer than ever!
Outside of Salem, Porte has been busy: he stars as Deacon Granville in the audio drama Montecito (which started in April 2025), played Josh in Netflix’s Uncoupled opposite Neil Patrick Harris, and is well-known for his Hallmark movie work.
