In the September 14 episode of Days of Our Lives, we finally know who the mystery man is keeping an eye on Belle, Chad, and EJ—and we also know who won the poker game in Monte Carlo.
Philip and Gabi met the host of their game, who turned out to be Dante Vitali, Sami’s fiancé. They all sat at the table and played, and in the end, Philip won the game. But when Gabi asked how much, he told her it wasn’t enough.

Chad, Belle and EJ Find a Stefano Clue
The real meat of the episode came when Chad and Belle followed a clue to Dominic Marino’s house.
When they arrived, they immediately noticed something strange. The door was unlocked, almost as if someone wanted them to come inside. They entered and found a chessboard.And not just any chessboard. It looked just like the one Stefano left for Marlena.
But guess what? They were not alone. EJ showed up and explained that he came to ask Dominic Marino why he was purchasing the Kiriakis mansion. EJ walked around the room and spotted the cognac and cigars that, well, quite represent much of Stefano’s life.
Moving on… Belle pointed out that if the chess set was the same as the one given to her parents, then it, too, would have a hidden panel. Chad took it apart and opened it. Inside, he found a photo of Stefano and handed it to EJ. In the photo, Stefano held a little boy, and on the back, it read, “1992.”
Naturally, Chad, Belle, and EJ wondered if the little boy could be Dominic Marino. And considering what happened next, they are definitely onto something.
Who is Days of Our Lives Mystery Man?
The next thing we saw was the mystery man watching Chad, Belle, and EJ, and noting that everything is going according to plan as he raised his glass.
Later, Dante showed up and updated the mystery man. He told him that Philip won the poker game—and that he didn’t even have to bust Otto himself.
Dante also assured him that it didn’t matter how many chips Philip raked in. Philip was never going to win enough money to save Titan or keep the Kiriakis mansion in the family’s hands. “Well played, Dom,” he referred to the mystery man.
