Days of our Lives is dusting off another storyline from its vault! In a recent episode of the Peacock soap opera, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) received an unexpected visit from an old acquaintance, and guess what? It was none other than Rafe’s (Galen Gering) doppelganger, Arnold Feniger!
For the die-hard fans, this might be a nostalgic blast from the past, but for all the new viewers, let’s break it down: Arnold was a crook handpicked by the DiMeras to join their revenge plot against Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Rafe—they wanted to break them up!
Arnold even had surgery to look exactly like Rafe Hernandez—a Rafe clone indeed! He even studied family history! So when Rafe ended up in the hospital after a car wreck, Stefano thought Arnold should take Rafe’s place even as Sami’s husband. Sami, however, thought Rafe was a bit cranky post-accident, but little did she know she was living with a low-budget Rafe impersonator!
Arnold would occasionally meet up with E.J. and Stefano to get instructions on his next steps! Meanwhile, Arnold’s life came to a tragic end, or so we thought—in prison! We all thought he was dead, but surprise, surprise! In today’s episode, he’s very much alive and ready to cause some chaos! Watch out, Rafe, Jada, E.J., and the rest of Salem!
