Days of our Lives Recap March 15, 2024: Today on Days of our Lives – Steve tells Marlena the story about his and John’s time in Aria. Konstantin tells John the story as well, hoping to cause him pain with the memories. With Nicole’s support, Holly pleads for EJ not to send Tate to jail. Harris confronts EJ about Stefan’s whereabouts. Brady and Theresa are harsh on Tate for getting himself arrested.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 15, 2024:
Harris rolls up to the station, and Jada asks if he’s not supposed to be on bed rest. Harris says he can’t just laze around when he needs to know how the heck did Clyde Weston bust out of prison.
Jada fills him in about a toxic spill in the cell blocks, so all the inmates got moved to the yard. When they did a headcount, Clyde was missing.
Harris asks about Goldman, but Jada says there is no good news there. It looks like she emptied her account and hightailed it out of town. She says they’re clueless about who else was in on it with Clyde. Harris thanks her for the information and leaves.
DiMera Mansion!
EJ and Nicole walk into Holly’s room. EJ wants to talk about Tate breaking in. Holly fires back that he didn’t break in; it’s all a big misunderstanding.
EJ insists he had Tate arrested for her safety and the family’s. Holly begs him not to send Tate to jail. Nicole chimes in, asking EJ if he thinks he’s overreacting, saying Tate’s just a teen who wanted to talk to Holly.
Holly defends Tate, saying he didn’t drug her and would never do something like that. She begs EJ again not to send him to jail. EJ leaves, noting that he’ll think about it but making no promises. Holly’s puzzled why EJ’s being so hard on Tate, and Nicole promises she’ll talk to him about not sending Tate to jail.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 15, 2024:
Nicole comforts Holly, telling her that EJ cares about her and is just looking out for her. Holly thinks EJ should back off; after all, he’s not her father, and Tate is making Tate out to be someone he’s not.
Nicole wonders if Holly’s covering for Tate to keep him out of trouble. She asks her to be honest if she remembers more about that night. Holly sticks to her story. She offers to get Holly something to eat, and Holly asks for a grilled cheese.
Nicole mentions Holly’s teacher sent some work for her, and if she’s up for it, they could check out some colleges together. Once Nicole leaves, Holly makes a quick getaway. Later, Nicole brings back the grilled cheese, but Holly’s not there.
Harris Confronts EJ!
Harris shows up at the mansion and straight-up asks EJ if he’s seen Stefan or knows where he is. EJ denies knowing anything and says he doesn’t keep tabs on Stefan.
Harris brings up how suspicious it is that Stefan disappeared at the same time as Clyde. He’s got a gut feeling that Stefan helped bust Clyde out of prison, and he’s convinced EJ knows something about it.
EJ reminds Harris that he’s the DA and has no clue about Stefan teaming up with Clyde or where Stefan is. He suggests Harris focus on going after Clyde instead of coming to interrogate him.
Harris insists he knows Stefan is working for Clyde because Stefan was the one who shot him. EJ points out that Xander was locked up for the shooting, and the evidence is against him.
Just then, Nicole shows up, looking for Holly. EJ tells her to check the grounds or the garden, saying she was probably just feeling cooped up. He offers to go with her, but she declines.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 15, 2024:
After Nicole leaves, EJ tells Harris they’re done, but Harris says they’re not finished. He demands to know where Stefan is, and EJ sticks to his story, saying he doesn’t know and that Xander Cook shot him. Case closed.
Harris insists it was Stefan, as he saw him pull the trigger with his own eyes. EJ tells him he has no proof, but Harris promises to find Stefan and take down everyone involved in this mess when he does.
Tate Arrested!
In the interrogation room, Theresa and Brady are grilling Tate about busting out of his halfway house. Brady warns him that he’s not just breaking the rules but risking going back to the slammer. Theresa adds that his new lawyer will need to work some serious magic to keep him out of jail.
Tate explains that he was losing it and had to see Holly. Brady points out that his actions were a major screw-up. Tate asks his parents what they would do if they were in his shoes.
He admits that he’s messed up big time by not contacting the police when he found Holly on the docks or by not telling the truth to the cops back then. He beats himself up, calling himself a failure for making the same mistakes over and over. His parents stop him, and Brady reassures him that everyone makes mistakes.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 15, 2024:
Holly comes to the station and asks Jada to see Tate. However, Jada denies her request. She thinks Holly is there without her mom’s permission.
Jada promises to give Holly’s mother a call. Holly insists that Tate did nothing wrong and did not break in. Later, Nicole finds Holly at the station, but Holly remains determined to speak to Tate. Nicole intervenes, informing Holly that they are going home, and thanks Jada for making the call.
Jada walks into the interrogation room with some updates. EJ’s backing off and not pursuing charges, so Tate can head back to his halfway house. But there’s a catch—there’s a restraining order in place. He can’t get within 100 yards of the DiMera mansion or Holly Jonas.
Konstantin Tells John the Story!
Konstantin shows John a picture of his daughter. John doesn’t recognize her, but Konstantin tells him he’s the one who killed her.
Konstantin explains that he and Victor were always fighting over Greek territories, and he sent his pawn over to deliver a message. John is totally shocked. Konstantin goes on to say that at the time, all he saw was John’s eyes, which still give him the chills to this day.
John had pounded him until he blacked out, and when he came to, he saw his only child on the floor, shot by John. Konstantin says his daughter meant the world to him, and he vowed that when he found the man who killed her, he’d make him pay. And now, he’s finally found him, as John wells up with tears.
Konstantin declares that he won’t rest until he gets his revenge, and he storms out.
Steve Has A Talk with Marlena!
Marlena hooks Steve up with some tea. He really hopes he didn’t freak her out when he surprised her at the pub like that. Marlena wants to know what he needs to tell her about John.
Steve spills about his shady past as the pawn. He reminds her that he was the one who first met John when he rolled into Salem. Back in the day, Victor ordered him to take care of John, who was the pawn, until he skipped town and became John Black. Marlena knows all about how he got his new identity.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 15, 2024:
Steve adds that one time Victor sent him and the pawn on a mission to deliver a message to a guy who was challenging Victor’s authority, and that guy was Konstantin.
Steve explains that John offed Catharina and nearly beat Konstantin to a pulp. He swears he didn’t see it go down, but it wasn’t hard to piece together.
Marlena wonders why she’s just hearing about this now, and Steve admits he’s been trying to keep it from John. She’s baffled as to how Steve’s been carrying this weight all this time. He says it’s a nightmare of a memory, and he buried it deep.
He just wishes this whole mess stayed in the past and that he could shield his friend from the truth of what he did. And now, with Konstantin showing up, everything’s falling apart.
John heads home and stands outside, looking at a picture of Catharina as he replays the face-off with Konstantin. He overhears Marlena and Steve chatting about him being the pawn.
Marlena thinks the truth will wreck John, then he marches in and goes off at Steve. “You knew. You never said a word to me, but you told my wife,” John says.
