Days of our Lives Recap March 8, 2024: Today on Days of our Lives –The operation to break Clyde out of prison is put into action. Wendy and Tripp, still trapped, begin to run out of air… Lani’s and Chanel’s hearts break as Paulina’s condition worsens. Abe professes his love for Paulina.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 8, 2024:
Chanel and Lani come back to check on Paulina. She’s sleeping, and Abe tells them it’s not looking good. He notes that the docs swung by earlier, but there’s been no change and no word on a potential heart transplant. Lani suggests he go get some rest, but he says maybe later.
Lani reckons he looks beat, but Abe insists he’s all good and wants to be there when she wakes up. He mentions the docs saying time’s running out and Chanel pipes up that they can’t lose hope.
Paulina Sees the Light!
Paulina wakes up and starts chatting about her grandkids. She playfully asks Chanel how much and Chanel tells her that she needs to give it some time since she and Johnny just tied the knot. Paulina says that if she doesn’t make it, she wants her grandkids to know about her. She then asks to have a private chat with Abe, and the girls agree to go grab some coffee.
Paulina confides in Abe that she feels herself slipping away, and he tells her not to talk like that. She begins thanking him for giving her the best years of her life and pleads with him to promise to take care of her girls.
Later, Abe speaks to an unconscious Paulina, telling her that she gave him the best years of his life. He wishes he could remember their life together but enjoys falling in love with her all over again, and he always will. Abe is emotional, wishing they could make more memories together, but Paulina sees the light.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 8, 2024:
Chanel cannot believe this is happening. Paulina’s surgery went well, and Lani reminisces about growing up watching Paulina, calling her a fighter and survivor. Lani also reflects on initially being awful to Paulina when she found out she was her birth mother, but now she understands why Paulina kept it a secret and appreciates her sacrifice.
Concerned about their kids growing up without a grandmother, Lani and Chanel hope Paulina pulls through. Lani suggests they go to the chapel and say a prayer for their mama.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 8, 2024:
Tripp and Wendy are totally freaking out because the vents are closed, and they’re running out of time. But they’re holding onto hope that Steve and Kayla are out there looking for them.
Tripp suggests they relax to conserve the oxygen. Wendy is scared, but she admits she’ll try to be brave because she’s with the love of her life. Wendy asks Tripp if he believes in God, and they start chatting about religion. She says that life throws surprises at you, but it’s also full of tough times like this.
Wendy worries about dying so soon after her parents had to mourn her brother Li. Tripp suggests they both pray that their parents won’t have to suffer any more than they already have. They talk about missing the chance to get married and have kids, and Tripp tells her to marry him right then and there.
Tripp and Wendy exchange vows; he promises to love her until his last breath, and Wendy promises the same as they share a kiss. Later, Wendy is running out of oxygen and begs Tripp to marry her for real when they make it out.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 8, 2024:
Ava, John, and Steve are all set to bust Clyde out of jail. Everything’s going smoothly until Ava starts pacing. Then the prison alarms go off, and John and Steve reach Clyde’s cell to find him giggling. Clyde can’t stop praising their “brilliant plan,” but they shush him and break him out.
When they bring Clyde to Ava, he showers her with praise. But all Ava wants to know is where her son is. Clyde stalls, so Ava whips out a gun, and her men do the same. Steve and John are shocked, but Ava’s set on doing things her way. She kicks the guys to the curb, insisting it’s the only way to find her son. She orders her men to take them back to Salem.
Twisted Lovers!
Once they’re gone, Clyde thanks her for outsmarting the “dynamic duo” and stopping them from double-crossing him. He promises to call her once he’s in the air and disclose Wendy and Tripp’s location. But Ava’s not having it; she demands to know now. Clyde cruelly suggests her son might be “halfway to heaven” by now. Goldman sneaks up behind Ava and disarms her. They tie up Ava, and Goldman and Clyde share a kiss.
Clyde declares that he and his gal will ride off into the sunset. Ava pleads with him not to go, but he takes off. Just before heading out, Goldman warns Ava not to bother looking for her son, because she made sure he was good as dead.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, March 8, 2024:
Steve and John are in the park discussing how this wasn’t part of the plan but it should be no surprise that Ava double crossed them. Then as the ride rolls in, Steve and John just pounce on the dudes.
