Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on May 19, 2023:Colin takes a hostage. Talia finally comes clean with Chanel. Jada and Rafe question Sloan about Colin. Stefan asks Gabi to marry him!
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap for May 19, 2023: Colin Wants To Repeat History!
Gabi and Stefan get home from work and are laughing about seeing EJ deal with anger management and sensitivity training at DiMera. Gabi is thrilled when she sees that she has received her divorce papers and that Li has already signed them. Stefan is overjoyed and immediately proposes to Gabi, eager for her to be his wife again. Gabi happily accepts and they share a sweet kiss.
Downstairs EJ walks into the parlor just in time to see Nicole take one of her prenatal vitamins. She tells him that it is a prescription Kayla gave her and doesn’t correct him when he assumes that they are to help with her menopause symptoms. She rages against the preconceived notions people have about women in menopause and EJ does his best to assure her that he has changed how he sees her and still desires her.
Gabi and Stefan interrupt EJ and Nicole’s kiss and tell them their good news before going back upstairs to celebrate. EJ is sure they will use their wedding to cement their standing at DiMera and then gets the idea for him and Nicole to upstage them. Nicole is taken aback when he drops to one knee and proposes to her!
Rafe and Jada quiz Sloan about her brother. She lies and tells them that Colin is nowhere near Salem and then tries to act surprised when they tell her that he was at the motel for weeks. She finally admits that she knew and told him to stop what he was doing or she was going to turn him in. Jada arrests her for being an accessory after the fact and then takes her to the Salem PD.
While Jada is questioning Sloan about her brother, Rafe gets a call from Abe who has come to and is worried about Paulina. He rushes right over to the bakery and enters in, gun drawn. At the Salem PD Sloan wants Jada to take the handcuffs off of her but Jada wants answers first. Sloan swears that her brother isn’t dangerous but Jada disagrees, telling her that Colin got her sister to do his bidding. Sloan is surprised to hear that Jada’s sister is involved.
Talia confesses to Chanel that she only pursued her because her boyfriend put her up to it. Chanel is confused and Talis tearfully tells her the whole story. Once Chanel hears who Colin is she gets angry and lashes out at Talia. Talia tries to tell her that she knows she made a mistake and that she knows Chanel is a good person but Chanel doesn’t want to listen and yells at her to leave.
Colin makes Paulina come to his hotel room and looks at pictures from when his family was happy. She tries to convince him that Chanel was not the aggressor with his father but he refuses to believe it. He takes her to the roof at gunpoint. When Chanel tries to call Paulina to tell her about Talia, Colin answers and tells her to come to where he is holding Paulina.
Talia goes to Colin’s room and finds Paulina’s scarf and realizes that he must have her somewhere. Chanel goes to the roof and finds Paulina being held at gunpoint by Colin. He tells her that she is going to know what he had to go through and tells her that her mother is going to die from a fall from the roof. He points his gun at Paulina and orders her to jump!
