Whenever Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) comes to Salem on Days of Our Lives, we can usually expect chaos; after all, they don’t call her Hurricane Sami for nothing. But in the Days episode that aired on November 11, things were a little calmer… at least at first.
Sami’s Big News
Sami made a few stops around town, starting at the Brady Pub, where she revealed to Lucas that she’s engaged! After everything Lucas has done to her recently, Sami surprised him (and us) by forgiving him. And he two hugged it out.
Who Is Dante Vitali on Days of Our Lives?
Her next stop was to see another one of her ex-husbands, EJ DiMera. Sami first congratulated him on becoming the new owner of the hospital and mentioned that she couldn’t stay in town long because there’s something she needs to get back to. Then came the big bombshell: Sami’s engaged… and to a Vitali, no less.
Naturally, EJ wasn’t thrilled about the news that Sami is engaged to Dante Vitali. We don’t know much about Dante yet, but EJ described him as some rich Italian hunk. We can already tell this isn’t your average romance. The Vitali family has long been whispered about as having mafia ties, so what exactly has Sami gotten herself into this time? Consider us intrigued.
But Sami’s eventful day didn’t stop there. She also told EJ that she’s throwing a baby shower for Johnny, Chanel, and baby T. However, he’s not invited. Not because she didn’t want him there, but she knows their son doesn’t.
How Are Sami and Cat Connected?
And finally, after months of wondering how Cat Greene and Sami might be connected, we’re starting to get some real answers. In the closing moments of the episode, Sami ran into Cat at the hospital. Cat couldn’t shake the feeling that Sami looked familiar, and not just because she’s Dr. Marlena Evans’ daughter.
As Sami walked away, Cat’s memory suddenly flooded back, a vision of Sami in a hospital room beside a man whose face was covered in heavy bandages. Later, Cat remembered reading Wuthering Heights to that same man in the flashback — the very book she’d taken from the bookstore recently.
So… could Cat have known EJ before now? Was she reading to him in Italy back when he was injured? So many questions, and so much to uncover.

Elsewhere in the November 11 episode, Lucas Horton returned as his brother Philip confided in him, Jennifer threatened to sue Chad for custody of the kids, and Maggie Horton reflected on how one drink of water changed her life. Meanwhile, Julie took a moment to reminisce about her timeless love story with Doug.
