EJ Tries to Get Gwen on His Side
There was a time when EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) were on the same side, working as secret partners and pulling strings behind the scenes. But now? That is definitely NOT the case!
Instead, Gwen wants to buy the hospital, and EJ isn’t looking to sell—even though his hands are being forced. Thinking they can find middle ground again, EJ proposes a compromise. However, Gwen isn’t in the market for his deals, and when he makes his offer, she flat-out rejects it!
Cat Confesses to Rafe
Meanwhile, while offers are falling through, confessions are coming to light—and Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) is the one coming clean to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). During a recent hypnosis session with Marlena (Deidre Hall), Cat realized that during her time in Italy, she said way too much.
She accidentally let it slip to a comatose EJ that she was working for the ISA! That’s a big problem if EJ ever remembers that crucial detail. For now, Cat needs to get Rafe up to speed, and that’s exactly what she does on Monday.
Marlena Offers to Help Xander
Over with Marlena, she steps up to offer Xander (Paul Telfer) a helping hand. Life for Xander lately has been an absolute mess: he and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) are done, Titan is in major jeopardy, the Kiriakis mansion is being put up for sale, and his mountain of trouble just keeps growing. Luckily, Doc might just be the one who can help him navigate the chaos.
Philip Shocks Gabi With a Proposal
Days spoilers for August 31 also reveal that Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) shocks Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) with a proposal! Is this a genuine, knee-on-the-floor romantic moment? Last we saw these two, Gabi agreed to loan him $5 million so he could enter a high-stakes poker tournament to save Titan.
Part of the deal meant Gabi had to tag along, leading Philip to lie and claim she was his fiancée just to get them in the door. Is that cover story about to turn into a reality?
To round out the day, Leo (Greg Rikaart) reaches out to Javi (Jacob Martinez). Fresh off his trip to Alamainia, Leo clearly hasn’t gotten over his ex. And with Gus (Michael Ocampo) recently calling it quits with Javi, Leo’s timing might actually work out in his favor after all!
