Here’s a Soap Opera News breakdown of what to expect in Tuesday’s episode.

Key Takeaways

  • Theo is furious to learn that Abe conspired with EJ.
  • Chanel and Paulina share marital woes.
  • EJ tries to get through to Johnny.
  • Julie reaches out to Marlena.
  • Belle and Chad search for clues in connection to Stefano’s chessboard.

EJ’s Involvement In Everything Could Have Unintended Repercussions

Just like Daddy Stefano, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) has fingers in multiple Salem pies: his vendetta against Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), his attempts to destroy Titan, and his connection to the tainted water that hospitalized Holly (Ashley Puzemis).

But his well-meaning efforts to revitalize his half-sister Lexie (Nikki Crawford) are all good for Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews). However, what is not good is the fact that his father has been hiding something from him for months.

Theo learns that Papa Abe (James Reynolds) secretly teamed up with EJ to keep Theo out of the family business.

Meanwhile, with the Coriseal he had buried on Smith Island coming back to haunt Holly and possibly having caused Chanel’s cancer, EJ tries to get a message through to Johnny (Carson Boatman). Is EJ owed an earful for endangering Johnny’s wife and unborn child?

Even in death, Stefano continues to shroud Salem in mystery. As Chad (Conner Floyd) and Belle (Martha Madison) – fresh off their first date and kiss – resume investigating The Phoenix’s left-behind chessboard, will the duo put the enigmatic artifact in check or just keep checking each other out?

Ladies With An Attitude

Shrink Marlena (Deidre Hall) is used to hearing confessions – including the whopper Lexie just dropped on her – but now Marlena finds Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) swinging by for some ear-bending.

Does the Horton matriarch just need to vent some guilt over Holly being sickened by water that came out of her well, or does she have something even bigger that she needs to get off her conscience?

Having just learned that her marriage to her beloved Abe has pretty much been cancelled out by Lexie’s return, Paulina (Jackée Harry) has a lot to confide in her daughter Chanel (Raven Bowens) about.

But what does Chanel have to come back with regarding a problem she’s having with Johnny? The guy just bought a wig for her and told her he’d love her even if chemo made her bald.

Plus, he just listened to her theory that somehow the poisoned H2O that felled Holly gave her cancer. Is Chanel putting Johnny on the hook for no good reason? We will find out soon enough!
