A Moment of Peace for Sarah and Xander

These two are usually putting out fires—or setting them—so seeing them on the same page and enjoying some quiet time is a total change of pace.
Xander was integral in locating Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and getting her back to the hospital after she took off on her own, so Sarah is undoubtedly grateful. Enjoy the calm while it lasts, though, because peace in Salem usually has a very short expiration date.
Patch and Kayla Stress the Unknown
Over at the Johnson territory, the mood isn’t quite as relaxed. Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) grow increasingly worried about what’s waiting for them down the road. Patch and Sweetness have survived just about every storm Salem could throw at them, but facing an uncertain future is taking its toll, and they can’t shake the feeling that another shoe is about to drop.
Johnny Calls Out EJ
Meanwhile, Days spoilers for July 24 tease that father-son bonding is definitely off the table when Johnny (Carson Boatman) corners EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) for a direct confrontation. Johnny is tired of dodging truths and dancing around his father’s motives, so he’s stepping up to demand real answers.
Getting a straight story out of EJ is never easy, but Johnny isn’t backing down without a fight. He’s convinced his dad is framing Holly, and while EJ won’t easily admit to any wrongdoing, Johnny is taking his theories straight to the source.
Melinda Throws Leo a Lifeline
Elsewhere, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) needs a win, and he might actually get one. Melinda (Tina Huang) agrees to lend Leo a hand, giving him an ally when he needs it most. Melinda usually doesn’t do anything without a clear payoff for herself, so seeing what kind of deal she cuts with Leo should be interesting, to say the least.
