Chanel (Raven Bowens) is struggling to process the news of a lifetime. After heading to the hospital for tests, she received a life-altering cancer diagnosis. It’s the kind of news no one is ever prepared for, and the timing couldn’t be worse.

While she’s dealing with her own health crisis, her husband, Johnny (Carson Boatman), was rushed to the emergency room after Sophia’s brutal attempt on his life. Johnny nearly reached death’s door, and the road to recovery will definitely be one he must take. Despite her own diagnosis, Chanel is staying by his side to offer comfort as he fights his way back.

Kristen’s Deadly Flip of the Script

Meanwhile, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) has shown her true colors once again. After using Sophia (Rachel Boyd) to do her dirty work, Kristen decided it was time to tie up loose ends. In a ruthless move, she knocked Sophia over the head and had her goons toss the body into the water.

But in Salem, “dead” isn’t always permanent. The question on everyone’s mind is whether Sophia survived the plunge. While Jada (Elia Cantu) is tasked with investigating the scene and revealing Sophia’s ultimate fate, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Kristen will be busy trading barbs and accusations as the DiMera sibling rivalry heats up.

A Hero in Trouble: Javi Collapses

The drama moves back to the hospital as a new medical emergency takes center stage. Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) suddenly collapses, and it seems his recent heroic rescue has taken a serious toll. Maybe he inhaled too much smoke. We will find out soon enough.

As Javi fights for his life, Leo (Greg Rikaart) reaches out to him. Elsewhere, Days spoilers for May 4 confirm that Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) provides an update to Rafe (Galen Gering). Could this be about the upcoming will reading? Or something else?
