The Trio Reflect
It has been a whirlwind lately in Salem, and the fallout is hitting the younger crowd especially hard. Even though Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) went down a dark path and did some pretty unforgivable things, she was still a human being. Her former friends—Tate (Leo Howard), Ari (Vico Escorcia), and Holly (Ashley Puzemis)—are now left trying to process some very complicated feelings.
They used to really care about her, and it’s tough to balance those old memories with the “dastardly” things she’s done recently. Even if they can’t stand her actions, it doesn’t change the fact that watching her life fall into shambles is a lot to take in.
Jada Delivers More Bad News
Meanwhile, the investigation into recent events is moving fast, and Jada (Elia Cantu) is the one tasked with breaking more difficult news. Spoilers for May 5 indicate that Jada has a “troubling” update for Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson).
So, is Amy about to learn the full extent of her daughter’s crimes? Finding out that Sophia was the one who tried to kill Johnny (Carson Boatman) would be a massive blow, and Jada’s news could change Amy’s world forever.
Alex Wants a Future with His Daughter
Over in the Kiriakis circle, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) is dealing with the shock of discovering he has a child. Now that he knows the truth, he isn’t about to let Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) just slip away from Salem again—and he definitely doesn’t want his daughter leaving either.
To that end, Alex makes a big request: he asks Joy to stick around in Salem so they can figure out a way forward. Whether Joy is willing to settle down in a town where she has so much history remains to be seen.
While Alex is busy fighting for his family, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) takes a moment to open up to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes). They likely have plenty to discuss regarding Jeremy, who clearly still had feelings for Stephanie right up until he left town.
Philip Weighs in on Gabi’s Life
Elsewhere, Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) finds herself in a bit of a predicament. Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) tries to step in and offer her some advice, which might be exactly what she needs.
There’s a good chance their conversation centers on Liam (Hank Northrop). Gabi’s feelings for him are complicated enough, but the fact that he’s apparently involved with her own daughter makes the situation a total mess.
