Alex and Stephanie Finally Catch a Break

Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) have no doubt had a super rocky marriage… thus far! When it wasn’t Owen Kent (Wes Ramsey) kidnapping and tormenting Stephanie, it was Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) returning to town to drop a total bombshell—that Alex is the secret father of her daughter. That last tidbit did a real number on the couple, and Joy hasn’t exactly made things any easier for them!

Alex has been doing everything in his power to step up and be a good father to his daughter—but at what cost? It’s been causing such a massive rift between him and Stephanie. Still—amidst all the endless trouble they’ve had of late—the two marrieds finally find some common ground. Sounds like a long-overdue sigh of relief for both of them!

Steve and Kayla Get a Special Opportunity

Meanwhile, another couple who has faced their fair share of ups and downs over the years is Stephanie’s parents—Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). The beloved duo gets a special opportunity on Wednesday’s episode.

So what will it be? Will it be an offer they simply can’t turn down? After all—”special” does seem to cover a lot of ground in Salem!

Daddy-Daughter Dance Secrets & Philip Confronts Joy

Days spoilers for September 2 also reveal that as the Daddy-Daughter Dance nears for Salem, Xander (Paul Telfer) discovers little Victoria’s (Angelica Nero) hidden talent. On top of that—Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) grow suspicious about what’s really going on around town. Will their gut feelings be proven right?

Elsewhere, Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) confronts Joy. Philip has certainly been busy with his own family and Titan matters—but he also knows how much Joy’s sudden return has put a major strain on Alex’s marriage to Stephanie. But is that the only reason he’s stepping up to call Joy out—or does Philip have another motive of his own up his sleeve?

Why do you think Philip is really confronting Joy—is he just protecting Alex and Stephanie? Sound off in the comments below!
