Beloved Days of Our Lives‘ veteran Suzanne Rogers revealed to Soap Opera Digest the scary medical situation that led to her months-long hiatus from the NBC soap. Back in November, the star recalled an incident where a pill became lodged in her throat. She remembered calling for help when she started to have trouble breathing. Rogers said she doesn’t recall much after that until she awoke in the hospital, discovering that some of her hair, which was in curlers at the time of the incident, was missing. Unfortunately, things continued to snowball downhill as her autoimmune disease, Myasthenia Gravis, flared up.

She would eventually enter into a rehabilitation facility to recover. Rogers shared that Ken Corday, DAYS Executive Producer, would call and check in on her and send her flowers since she wasn’t allowed visitors due to COVID restrictions. Thankfully, Suzanne is on the mend and began filming again in May. We cannot wait to see her back in Salem!
