Days of Our Lives Episode Recap for June 5, 2023: Sloan Tricks Eric and Nicole!

Nicole is berating EJ and Eric for being competitive over the baby when Kayla tells her that she has her results. She gives Nicole the envelope and tells her that Abe is missing and she has to go deal with that. Nicole is upset to hear about Abe and Eric tells her that she can wait to open the results if she needs to. EJ scoffs at him and Nicole opens the envelope. 

EJ is overjoyed when Nicole says that Eric was not a match which means he is the baby’s father. He embraces Nicole and then tells Eric it’s the best outcome for everyone. Eric congratulates them and watches them sadly for a moment before getting on the elevator and leaving. EJ promises Nicole everything will be ok and they go to see Kayla. She promises them a referral to a fertility specialist before going to brief the board about Abe’s disappearance. 

Sloan is worried about her brother Colin when Jada shows up with a search warrant. As Jada is searching Sloan’s apartment, Sloan tells her about Nicole being pregnant and it possibly being Eric’s baby. Jada is stunned but covers and finishes her search. Sloan tells Jada that Leo saw Colin in the park. Before leaving Jada warns Sloan that if she tries to hide or aid her brother in his escape she will be prosecuted.

After leaving the hospital Eric shows up at Sloan’s visibly upset. She tells him about Jada searching the apartment and he tells her that the baby is EJ’s. Sloan apologizes because she knows he wants to be a father. He tells her that he loves her and they hug as Sloan flashes back to swabbing her own cheek instead of Eric’s to make sure he wasn’t identified as the father.

Chloe walks into the apartment after her first day at work and Xander pops a bottle of champagne and congratulates her. She takes it from his hand and drinks straight from the bottle before telling him that she quit because of Gwen. Xander sits her down and talks to her about what happened. 

Chloe tells him that Gwen is impossible to work for and drove her crazy all day in a lot of ways. Xander thinks Gwen was trying to get her to quit and talks her into giving it another chance so that Gwen doesn’t win. They banter a bit and then Xander kisses her.

Gwen is putting up a job listing for Chloe’s job when Leo frantically races into their hotel room, asking her to protect him. He tells her about his run-in with Colin in the park and can’t believe it when she doesn’t take it seriously. Gwen thinks he is perfectly safe and tells him that she wants him to write a story about Dimitri who she just found out, is in Salem. Leo refuses because he doesn’t want to be around anyone else dangerous. Gwen is frustrated with him but goes to get the story herself. After she leaves Jada shows up and wants to talk to Leo about his encounter with Colin.

At the DiMera mansion, Megan and Dimitri share a happy reunion. Things take a turn when she tells him and Kristen about her plans for them to marry. Megan explains that Dimitri will inherit a large amount of money if he is married before he turns 40 in 3 months and that she thinks Kristen is perfect because she is family but not blood. They both turn her down and Dimitri says he can find someone else just as Gwen walks into the parlor.
