Days of Our Lives Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for June 9, 2023, 2023: Leo and Dimitri Come Face To Face!
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on June 9, 2023: A confused Abe refuses to open the door to Rafe. Whitley’s startled when she finds her new patient is Paulina. Roman informs Kate he’s going to help Steve and John in the search for Abe. Kate offers Harris a job. Megan urges Dimitri to get ready for his “interview” with Gwen. Gwen and Leo discuss their failed relationships and wishes.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap for June 9, 2023: Leo and Dimitri Come Face To Face!
Abe is watching the Body and Soul recording when Rafe knocks on the door looking for Whitley. Abe realizes that he remembers the voice and then remembers what Whitley had told him about his assailant pretending to be a police officer and stays quiet so Rafe wouldn’t know he was there.
Eventually, Rafe leaves and Abe goes back to watching the soap opera. On the show, Kassandra and Charlamagne are fighting over an award and a man. Abe finds it interesting that one is claiming that the other only got the man because he had amnesia. A breaking news report breaks into the show. It was Abe’s mayoral acceptance speech from years ago and Abe realizes that it’s him and he’s the mayor!
At the hospital, Paulina is on the phone with Julie when Whitley comes into her room. She is about to leave but Paulina tells her to stay because she wants to talk to her. Whitley is nervous but Paulina just wants to thank her for taking care of Abe when he was first admitted. Paulina is distraught about Abe and Whitley tries to comfort her. Rafe arrives looking for Whitley and questions her about the last time she saw Abe.
Whitley lies about taking Abe’s vitals and leaving his safe in his room. Rafe asks if she saw anyone suspicious and she tells him that she didn’t. She says there was something off but doesn’t know what it was. After Rafe leaves Whitley promises Paulina she will keep Abe in her prayers.
Kate and Roman are having breakfast at the Pub and talking about Abe. Roman tells her that he is going to help out with the search and they are heading out together when Harris comes in and asks if they have seen Megan. Kate tells him that they haven’t and Roman tells him that he is fine with him being in town and thanks him for helping to find Kate. The two men shake hands and Roman leaves.
Kate sits down with Harris and they talk about him settling into Salem. She tells him that she can help him with a job and that she would happily pay him to take care of Megan. Harris asks her to clarify what she means and she makes it clear that she wants him to kill her. She reminds him of everything Megan has done and feels that as long as she’s alive she is a danger. Harris doesn’t disagree but tells her that he can’t kill her, he’s not a hitman. Kate understands but thinks he will change his mind eventually.
Megan comes into the parlor and is unhappy to see Dimitri in his robe and not dressed for his lunch with Gwen. He tells her that he’s not going and shows her the codicil of the will he’s been reading regarding his inheritance. Dimitri isn’t happy that he would have to stay married for a year and that it would have to look real. Megan explains to him that he has no choice because they need the money for her plans to succeed.
After she guilts him into agreeing, he goes upstairs to get ready and Kristen comes in and asks Megan what she plans to do with the money. Megan tries to change the subject but Kristen persists. Before Megan has to answer Dimitri comes back down, ready to go in a nice suit. Megan tells him how great he looks and gives him a dossier she has on Gwen so he will be prepared to charm her. Kristen is shocked they are going through with the plan. After Dimitri leaves Kristen reminds Megan that everyone hates her in Salem so she will have trouble building an army. Megan has someone in mind to help her and says he has just arrived in Salem.
Gwen is getting ready for her lunch with Dimitri when Leo comes home disheartened after a talk with his mother. He tells Gwen that she told him that he will never be loved. Gwen reminds him that she loves him and that his mother is a bad person. Gwen makes him feel better and they talk about their horrible mothers and bad luck in love.
Leo tells Gwen that if they can’t find the perfect man for both of them then they can just marry each other. Gwen agrees and goes to get ready for her lunch. Leo tells her not to tell Dimitri about him because of what happened with the Alamanian peacock. Gwen agrees and goes into the bathroom. There is a knock on the door and Leo answers it. Dimitri is not happy to see him!
